About Us

With almost thirty years of assessing and supporting those with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, Planet Diversity was created by Jill, who opened The Dyslexia Centre in 2001. Being dyslexic herself, she knew there was a better way to provide the support needed so desperately.

With our expert and experienced staff, The Dyslexia Centre has now grown and become Planet Diversity, as we aim to support the neuro-diverse community.  We work with the following neuro-diverse profiles of learning: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and ASD (PDA and ODD included). We are proud of what we do and achieve, each and every day.

We have achieved a 100% pass rate with our functional skills courses.  Our results are second to none and are only possible because of the individualised programmes of support and training made available to each person.

Being part of the home educating community and for someone who has tried almost every product and service available on both a personal and professional level, we, as a community, are vulnerable and this can lead to companies undermining our confidence in our own abilities.  The Shine Learning Programme developed from this need.  Many home educating families prioritise the children’s education, resulting in a reduced income.  Specialist support is not a luxury and should be available to all, regardless of where you live and if you can afford a tutor, whether you go to school or educated at home.
