With over three decades of assessing and supporting those with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, Planet Diversity was created by Jill Ruddle, who opened The Dyslexia Centre in 2001. Being dyslexic, dyscalculiac and ADHD, she knew there was a better way to provide the desperately needed support. Recently, we incorporated Catch All Training CIC, which has been awarded Lottery Funding to support families at home.

With our expert and experienced staff, The Dyslexia Centre has now grown and become Planet Diversity. We aim to support the neurodivergent community because so many learning profiles coexist. We work with the following neurodiverse learning profiles: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and autism (PDA and ODD included). We take pride in what we do and achieve every day. Our lessons run term time, but all learners have access to the courses, marking and support throughout the year.
We have achieved a 100% pass rate with our functional skills courses. Our results are second to none and are only possible due to the individualised programmes of support and training we provide.
As part of the home-educating community and someone who has tried almost every product and service available on both a personal and professional level, we are vulnerable as a community. This can lead to companies undermining confidence in our abilities. The Shine Learning Programme was developed in response to this need. Many home-educating families prioritise their children’s education, limiting their income as they focus on what’s important – their young people. Specialist support is not a luxury and should be available to all, regardless of where you live and your income.
Our results are second to none, producing individualised support and training programs where needed. Why not get in touch and see how we can help?
